Drug name: Ferrum Lek #ProductAnalogues##ProductIngridients#Therapeutic actions: Ferrum lek contains that active ingredient iron(ferrous) hydroxide. Iron is essential component of heamoglobin. Heamoglobin is a pigment of erythrocytes(red cells) that carries oxygen and ,thus, is important in red blood cells formation. Iron is also a component of myoglobin that is oxygen-carrying protein of the muscles and heart tissue. Myoglobin stores oxygen while physical exercises. Indications: Ferrum Lek is indicated to treat iron deficiency conditions that require quick and safe replacement of iron in its loss by the organism: Severe posthemorrhagic anemia Iron absorption disorders(for vials) Iron deficiency anaemia(for tablets) Non efficient therapy of iron deficiency anaemia with peroral iron preparation(for vials).Contraindications and cautions: Ferrum Lek is contraindicated in the following conditions and diseases: Increased sensitivity to any of the medication ingredients Increased levels of iron in the organism(hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis) Disorders of the haemoglobin synthesis(anemia caused by plumb poisoning, sideroblastic anemia) Severe blood stasis disorders due to hematoma(blood lake) formation Pregnancy(1,2,3 trimester).
