Heamoglobin is a pigment of erythrocytes(red cells) that carries oxygen and ,thus, is important in red blood cells formation. Iron is also a component of myoglobin that is oxygen-carrying protein of the muscles and heart tissue. Myoglobin stores oxygen while physical exercises.
